AT&T customers can fill up their new smartphones and tablets with plenty of digital content if they purchase their Android device directly from AT&T. A new promotion at ATT.com states that anyone purchasing a new Android smartphone or tablet will receive $50 in Google Play credit. That should make relatively easy to populate the new Samsung Galaxy S5 or HTC One M8 with loads of free content.
The downside to the offer is that's only available for a limited time; the deal expires June 17, 2014. AT&T requires that users sign a 2-year agreement or an installment-based AT&T Next plan in order to qualify for the $50 promotion. A unique code will be sent to buyers 7 business days after purchase, and the code that must then be redeemed by July 31, 2014. Qualified buyers will have until May 15, 2015 to use the resulting credits to purchase apps, music, movies, books, or games from Google Play. More details are available here.
