Following leaked screenshots that suggested that LG planned to change its QuickWindow flip case feature to support a large circle, the Korean manufacturer has officially announced the new QuickCircle case for its upcoming LG G3 smartphone. While this might seem odd to put the cart before the horse, or in this situation the case before the phone, it's not the first time LG has chosen this tact. It's also not the first time LG has changed the shape of its case to one-up rival Samsung.
The LG G3 QuickCircle is a flip case that includes a large circle on the front of the case that reveals the time and date. Various clocks will be compatible with the case, which will also be able to show information on incoming calls, make phone calls, control music, take photos, and whatever else developers are able to cook up when LG releases an SDK for the case next month.
QuickCircle supports the Qi wireless charging standard and will be sold in Metallic Black, Silk White, Shine Gold, Aqua Mint, and Indian Pink. Price and availability will be announced at a later date.
