UPDATE Since this post was first published, AT&T and Verizon have announced that they will also sell the gold Samsung Galaxy S5. That means all four of the major U.S. carriers offer the gold Galaxy S5. Below is the original post as it was published.

Sprint and T-Mobile have separately announced that they will sell a gold version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 beginning Friday, May 30. The nation's third and fourth place carriers both plan to sell the device cruelly compared to a band-aid when it first debuted at Mobile World Congress in February. While Sprint says that it will sell the "Copper Gold" Galaxy S5, T-Mobile promises "Metallic Gold" will arrive on the 30th. Based on the two images posted by the carriers, the difference in colors is a slightly darker shade of Gold for the T-Mobile S5.

T-Mobile also announced that it would begin accepting pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition. Though the Wi-Fi version of the Note 10.1 has been available for several months, this marks the first time that it has been sold with the ability to access T-Mobile's 4G LTE network. The Note 10.1 is also eligible for T-Mobile's Tablet Freedom program that offers 1 GB of free data for the remainder of the year and 200 MB of free data afterward as long as they maintain a T-Mobile smartphone account. General sale of the device begins June 4.
