Two of the most successful PC gaming titles are now Android-compatible, but they target a very limited section of the Android ecosystem. Valve's Portal and Half-Life 2 are now available for purchase in Google Play; unfortunately, the games are playable only on the NVIDIA Shield mobile console. Though Shield runs on Android and one would think that any device with comparable hardware would be able to run it, the games were ported directly by NVIDIA, so the company unsurprisingly chose to target its own device.
Portal and Half-Life 2 are available in Google Play for $9.99 each. Portal is a game focused on challenging players with puzzles and problem-solving through adventure. Half-Life 2 is a first-person with a variety of weapons locations to explore. Enjoying either game requires a NVIDIA Shield, currently on sale for $199.
