Google Drive is where users go to create and edit documents on their mobile devices, but Google has decided to separate the document aspects from Drive's primary purpose as a cloud storage service. Google Docs and Google Sheets are now standalone apps for Android and iOS. The apps can create or edit documents, save to Drive, and then resume editing on a computer or other mobile device. They also include editing, comments, sharing, and group collaboration. Google says that the change was made so it would be easier and quicker to get to documents, and Slides app is launching soon.
