Motorola will make the month of May a busy one. Following LG's announcement that it's launching a new smartphone next month, the company owned by Google and soon to be controlled by Lenovo will announce its new phone May 13. The event takes place in London and is all about "Introducing the next smartphone from Motorola to make [connecting people to the world's information and each other] happen." The invitation promises that phone is made to last, meaning it is durable, and priced for all, meaning it's either a budget handset like the Moto G or a flagship that costs less than rivals like the Moto X. Either way, it may be one of the last devices launched before the Lenovo purchase of Motorola closes.
In related news, Motorola.com is having a promotion to clear stock of its current flagship. The Moto X will go on sale tomorrow and cost only $299 when purchased off-contract. The 32GB and Developer models will cost $324.99. The price drop is part of a 24-hour sale for May 1, 2014 that is done in conjunction with Mother's Day.source: Android Central
