When Google announced Android Wear last week, Motorola stole most of the headlines because its Moto 360 Android watch looked more interesting because of its circular build. It also didn't hurt that the company (barely) released more details about what we can expect from the device. LG must not have liked all the attention that Motorola got because they just released another photo of the G Watch to garner some more attention.
The photo above was posted to the LG Mobile Facebook page just to show users that the G Watch launching later this year will have Android Wear. A previous photo was posted on the same page but it showed only a side angle of the watch. This new rendered image shows that the G Watch will be like most smartwatches - a rectangular and boring box with big bezels attached to rubber straps. One can only hope that LG will use materials to put the feel of the watch above the aesthetics.
LG is still mum on all other factors, but previous rumors have suggested it will have:
- 1.65-inch IPS LCD
- 280x280 resolution
- 512MB RAM
- 4GB storage
