Motorola is going back to school in the latest update to its MotoMaker customization site. Moto X buyers can now choose from nine new back colors or three new accent colors to get more options for personalizing the device. Motorola pitches the new colors as a way to get combinations related to American universities. For instance, I have a crimson and gold themed Moto X, and those colors are now part of a Florida State theme. Nearly 40 other universities - including Clemson, Georgetown, Florida, Boston College, Gonzaga, and LSU among others - are now available.
To show some extra school spirit, Motorola is also selling clear cases sold by Uncommon that have school logos printed in the middle. The cases line up so the bulldog, tiger, bird, or other official logo of your school appears below the Motorola logo. The cases cost $34.95 and the Moto X costs $399.99 without a contract, but anyone who registers with a valid .edu email address can get a discount to make the phone cost only $339.source: Motorola
