Android 4.4 KitKat has finally made its way to the Samsung Galaxy S 4. Sprint has begun updating its variant of Samsung 2013 flagship, so Galaxy S 4 owners should be able to head to Settings > More > About device > software version to check for an update.
The update applies standard Android 4.4 features like immersive mode for more full-screen app options, a change in the icons in the notification area, full-screen album art for multimedia playback, and new options for printing. Most important of all will be a slight bump in performance that leads to files loading faster than before.
Sprint also states that the Galaxy S 4 is now compatible with Zact Mobile, the low-cost MVNO that launched last year and uses Sprint's network. The update also removes the "Prevention Information alert" about apps being stopped.source: Sprint
