Samsung has already invited us to attend its Mobile World Congress event at what is expected to be the launch point of the new Galaxy S5. The Korean manufacturer today sent out a second invitation that doesn't add any new information other than to further tease us about what could be the next version of Touchwiz.
You'll notice in the invitation that Samsung has all flat icons to showcase nine themes. The various themes - speed, curiosity, fun, social, style, etc. - all have a 5 next to them. (Gee, I wonder what's the significance of that number.) It's obvious that these themes will speak to special features of the Galaxy S5, but what's interesting about them is that they are all flat icons. Samsung has always used bevels and flashy icon choices, but recent leaks have suggested it might adapt a simpler approach to its Touchwiz user interface. These icons may be another example of the shift in design focus.
As if the teaser wasn't enough, Samsung also added:
"We are sure that you have noticed that there is lots of 5s. We understand that there is lots of speculation regarding what will be unpacked in Barcelona. However, we at Samsung Tomorrow have to agree with what the 1922 Nobel Prize winning physicist, Niels Bohr, who laid the groundwork for atomic structure and quantum theory, once said, 'Prediction is very difficult, especially if it's about the future.'"source: Samsung
