Samsung Electronics and retailer Carphone Warehouse Group have announced a new deal that will see the creation of 60 stores dedicated to promoting, selling, and support Samsung products. After the two companies worked together to create three Samsung stores in Spain last year, the "successful opening" lead to the decision to expand the concept into new stores in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, and the Netherlands.
Carphone Warehouse will operate the stores as the preferred partner. In the next three months, the company will convert several shops to feature smartphones, tablets, and wearables from Samsung. The usual line-up of Galaxy smartphones and smart watches are sure to be on display, but we may also get a look at the rumored Galaxy Glass concept that is supposedly Samsung's answer to Google Glass.
Regardless of what's inside the store, the important thing will be the name on the outside walls. Having a dedicated outlet could increase Samsung's visibility even more than the standard way of being one product on a shelf alongside many competitors. I've seen shoppers at the Samsung store-within-a-store concepts in Best Buy be more interested in products, so having an entire store dedicated to one of the biggest names in electronics will likely deliver the same advantages to Samsung.source: Carphone Warehouse
