The Google Nexus 7 and the Apple iPad Mini with retina display represent the best of their respective fields when it comes to smaller-sized tablets. In the case of the Nexus 7, it's arguably the best Android tablet period thanks to its pure Android experience, comparatively fast updates, and portability. The iPad Mini has a tougher time thanks to the iPad Air suddenly stepping on its toes by becoming much lighter, but it has made big strides in its display and performance to make smaller tablet seeks much happier.

The problem then becomes how does one choose between the two? Both tablets are exceptional devices that are likely to please someone buying a tablet for personal use or as a gift. Choosing which is the better of the two is harder than it seems. Here's a Nexus 7 vs. iPad Mini comparison video to help make the decision a little easier.
