Google Drive has added a new feature that should make editing documents slightly easier. The latest version of the Android app includes the ability to find and replace, so users can search for all instances of "Jim" and replace them with "James" in one fell swoop. Drive for Android also changed to a light theme and added the following features:
- New quick action bar for faster creating, scanning and uploading
- Swipe to refresh
- Insert and edit tables
- Rename scanned documents before uploading
- Manage files in a two-column layout on tablets
Android users should see the app appear in Google Play within the next few days. There's no word about when these features will be added to Google Drive for iOS, which was last updated November 7.
