Here's a surprise for anyone interested in an Apple iPad mini with Retina display. It was originally believed that the tablet would not launch until the end of November, but Apple has starting selling the iPad mini online. If you're in the market for a new tablet, you might want to grab one now because of one obvious reason: scarcity.
Apple CEO Tim Cook said during the company's earnings call that there might be people who want an iPad mini that are unable to get one because of constraints on production. Apple doesn't estimate that it will be able to keep the iPad mini with retina display in stock during the holiday sales period, so customers considering the tablet ought to purchase one now.
Prices start at $399 for a 16GB Wi-Fi model ($529 for cellular) and go up to $699 for 128GB Wi-Fi ($829 128GB). Choose between the Space Gray or Silver color options at the iPad Mini page on Apple.
