Yesterday, I posted about a Pandora update for Android that prematurely showed that the music streaming service added Chromecast support. Today, both the Android and iPhone Pandora apps can control streaming through a television.
It appears that Pandora was indeed ready to launch Chromecast streaming yesterday but had to pullout at the last moment. Whether that was because it was waiting for iOS App Store approval or to finalize its web service is unclear, but Android and iPhone owners who downloaded the latest versions of the app should see the Chromecast button appear as an option once they turn on a TV and connect the phone to the same Wi-Fi network as the Chromecast.
Pandora uses its tv.pandora.com system to handle web-based streaming through a Chromecast-connected television. Users will be able to continue using their Android smartphones or tablets to browse through stations and provide feedback. Chromecast is not currently supported on Apple iPad devices, but Pandora says that the feature is ?coming soon.?Pandora
