No one knows when the Nexus 5 will launch, but that hasn't stopped people from releasing several rumors about when to expect the latest Google-powered Android smartphone to go on sale. Previous rumors have claimed that the Nexus 5 would go on sale in early October, and then another wave of rumors claimed mid October. The month of October will come to an end next week, and we now have another rumor suggesting that the Nexus 5 will indeed launch this month.
MobileSyrup claims that it has heard from sources that the Nexus 5 will go on sale beginning Thursday, October 31. The Nexus 5 will initially be made available in Google Play, but only for U.S. buyers. The phone would then expand to our neighbors up north and go on sale in Canada November 7 or November 8, and be available at Rogers, Bell, TELUS, Koodo, and Virgin.
Like all rumors, it's important to be skeptical about launch dates. Companies frequently have plans to debut a product one day but unforeseen circumstances or deadlines force them to delay their movements. Google has not sent invites for any event next week, so if the company plans to begin selling the Nexus 5 on Halloween, it will be a rapid fire announcement and then sale of a desirable product. There's no guarantee that these rumors are anymore credible than the ones before it, but it may be wise to stay near a computer next Thursday just in case.source: MobileSyrup
