Thinking of moving from an iPhone to a Moto X? If the answer is 'Yes,' don't worry about having to manually enter contacts and calendar information on the new phone. Motorola has released a migration tool that makes it easier for iPhone users to transfer their data, but sadly, it so far works only with MotoMaker orders. That means only AT&T customers can take advantage of the migration tool at the moment.
Once someone has placed an order on MotoMaker, the website will show "I have an iPhone" and provide an optional page to transfer contacts and calendar entries. The buyer will login with their iCloud credentials and then Motorola will transfer that information to Google so all of that information will be available when the Moto X arrives.
Punit Soni, VP of Product Management at Motorola, writes, "There is a long way to go, but its a start," when speaking about the migration tool. It's likely that we will see the option expanded to cover more data and accessible in more places. Motorola has already tried to make migration easier for Android users by releasing its Motorola Migrate app to copy music, call and text history, and contacts from one phone to another. Clearly the company thinks people switching to its products will enjoy the benefits of a fast transition.source: Google+ (Punit Soni)
