Samsung may have kicked off the "phablet" era with the original Galaxy Note, the first above-average sized smartphone people actually liked, but it has since seen many challengers lay claim to title as the best of the bunch. The Sony Xperia Z Ultra is one of those challengers, and it shows no sign of letting up in light of the recently released Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
The Galaxy Note 3 vs. Xperia Z Ultra comparisons were bound to happen the second that Sony revealed that the Z Ultra would have a whopping 6.1-inch display. Since that time, the Galaxy Note 3 has increased to a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED panel without forcing the frame of the device to increase. In light of the two Android smartphones both attempting to blur the lines between the phone and tablet category, let's draw a line in the sand to see which device is superior.
