As recent rumors have suggested, Apple will host an event in San Francisco next week to unveil new products. One month after unwrapping its latest iPhone, Apple has confirmed that "We still have a lot to cover" and it has sent media invites to discuss what's new.
Apple is all but guaranteed to use the event to discuss iPad news. All that remains in question is how many iPads will spark news when the press assembles at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts next week. Apple is expected to introduce a fifth-generation iPad that more closely resembles the iPad Mini in shape and design, but it will still scale up to have a 9.7-inch display. The iPad is also due for its requisite bumps in processing and graphical capabilities.
Other rumors have suggested that Apple may also take the time to introduce a new iPad Mini with a 7.9-inch retina display. The original iPad Mini released last year featured only a 1024 x 768 resolution. The new Mini is expected to have a 2048 x 1536 display, which would significantly raise the pixels per inch count and lead to a higher-quality display.via: Apple Insider
