The latest installment of AT&T's expansion into new areas with its 4G LTE coverage has dispatches from the midwest and southern regions. AT&T today announced it is launching LTE in 12 new markets and increasing the coverage area in two others. The updates include expansion in the Virginia Beach, Virginia area so that parts of Chesapeake now have 4G LTE. Also growing is the Milwaukee area of Whitewater-Lake Geneva.

AT&T also added a few other markets to go with the dozens launched in recent weeks. The carrier is well on its way to approaching its 400th market launch goal by the end of the year, which would still leave it behind Verizon, but considerably better than where it started at the beginning of 2013. AT&T 4G LTE should now be live in the following locations:

- Champaign-Urbana, Illinois
- Mayfield, Kentucky
- Paducah, Kentucky
- Corning, New York
- Moultrie, Georgia
- Tifton, Georgia
- Tupelo, Mississippi
- Springfield, Ohio
- Marshall, Texas
- Longview, Texas
- Tyler, Texas
- Stevens Point, Wisconsin
