AT&T has today announced 50 new markets that will by year's end join the list of cities and towns with 4G LTE service. AT&T has made its 4G network a major selling point to attract or retain customers in recent years, but the carrier has relied heavily on its older and slower HSPA+ network to bolster its 4G claims. The upcoming introduction of LTE will allow the carrier to deliver faster download and upload speeds, as well as increase the network's reliability in many places that had only HSPA+ or 3G service.

After crossing the 200-market milestone in the spring season, AT&T has added dozens of new markets and crossed the 300 mark. The carrier expects to be in its 400th market and cover an area reaching more than 270 million people by the end of the year. Here is the list of the latest cities that will receive LTE within the next four months.
