The Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 will soon earn the distinction of being the largest smartphone available in the United States when the Android device, which has a 6.3-inch display, arrives soon for 3 of the nation's 5 largest carriers. Not all carriers have released launch dates, but AT&T, Sprint, and US Cellular have separately confirmed plans to release the Mega-phone shortly. AT&T will sell the Samsung Galaxy Mega for $149.99 on a two-year agreement beginning August 23. Sprint says it will sell the phone "later this year" and US Cellular will launch the Galaxy Mega "in the coming weeks."
Anyone needing a refresher course on the Galaxy Mega 6.3 can learn most of what he or she needs to know just by looking at the name. The phone has a 6.3-inch Super Clear LCD display with 720p resolution. It also has a 1.7 GHz dual-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, a 64GB microSD slot, and a 3,200 mAh battery. The phone runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Samsung's Touchwiz software, including Multi Window, Air View, WatchOn, Easy Mode, and several the camera features introduced in the Samsung Galaxy S 4. It also has Samsung SAFE geared for enterprise security.
The Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 will be available in Black or White color options and will have the S-View Flip cover in various colors as a way to change the appearance of the device.
