Sony and T-Mobile have announced that the Sony Xperia Z will be available to U.S. consumers beginning Wednesday, July 17. The Xperia Z will cost $579.99 when purchased in full, but customers can sign-up for T-Mobile's interest-free financing plans to pay $99.99 up front and then pay $20 for 24 months. As an incentive to buyers who pre-order the device at T-Mobile.com on July 16, T-Mobile will also include a free Sony Wireless Bluetooth Speaker.
As a refresher, the Xperia Z features a 5-inch 1080p display, a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, and a custom version of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Our Sony Xperia Z review was published today, so be sure to read it in anticipation of the T-Mobile launch date. Customers eager to buy the device can purchase the Xperia Z at Sony Store locations in the U.S. or online at Sony.com. The phone costs $579.99 and also includes the bluetooth speaker offer.
