MetroPCS today announced that it has added the Samsung Galaxy S 4 to its stable of 4G Android devices in select markets. The Galaxy S 4 first appeared on larger carriers weeks ago, but the T-Mobile subsidiary today begins offering Samsung's top phone for $549 for use with its $40 monthly no-contract plans. The phone is the same as the Galaxy S 4 of yore, so buyers can expect a 5-inch Super AMOLED HD display, a 1.9 GHz quad-core processor, a 13-megapixel camera, and a bundle of Samsung software additions like Air View and Smart Pause to go along with Android 4.2. MetroPCS says the HSPA+/LTE 4G connection varies according to location. More information is available at MetroPCS.com.
