LG invited MobileBurn and several other outlets to an August 7 event in New York City that everyone immediately suspected might be for the unveiling of the LG Optimus G2. A second invite now removes all doubt. The original invites were simply requests to save the date and be prepared to see something new from LG. The latest invite tells users that "Great 2 Have You!" with the 'G' and '2' being prominently larger than other letters. An accompanying YouTube teaser video posted by LG adds fuel to the fire by following a similar theme.
The Optimus G2 will definitely be the device that LG trots out at its August 7 event. We'll be there to take a close look at what may be the most powerful Android smartphone yet based on early information. LG and Qualcomm confirmed last month that the Optimus G2 will use the Snapdragon 800, a quad-core processor that can reach maximum clock speeds of up to 2.3 GHz. The Snapdragon 800 leads to increased performance in speed, graphics, and battery life, so it promises to be quite the device.via: Android Central
