T-Mobile is gearing up to launch the Sony Xperia Z and the Nokia Lumia 925 on July 17 according to leaked documents that reveal T-Mobile's upcoming calendar of events and device launches. TmoNews, which has a very good track record of discovering T-Mobile rumors that eventually become T-Mobile facts, says the fourth-place carrier will have two major launches on July 17. On that day, both the Nokia Lumia 925 and the Sony Xperia Z will be sold in stores.
Dates are subject to change, but it's likely that consumers will soon get confirmation of those dates from the carriers. T-Mobile last week announced that it would offer the Xperia Z but declined to provide a release date. The carrier did the same when it announced the Lumia 925.
T-Mobile may use the new Android and Windows Phone launches to remind consumers about big projects. The company is already ahead of schedule in migrating MetroPCS customers to its network, and it is slowly launching its 4G LTE network. Though available currently in only a handful of cities, T-Mobile expects its LTE network to deploy in enough areas to reach 100 million people by July. The Sony Xperia Z and Nokia Lumia 925 will both be able to access LTE networks once T-Mobile launches in those areas. source: TmoNews
