The HTC Butterfly S, the follow-up to the phone known as the DROID DNA in the United States, has been announced as an updated version of the phone that brings some of the best of the HTC One to a new device.
Just like the HTC One, the Butterfly S has BoomSound dual speakers in the front that deliver a louder stereo sound than is typically seen on smartphones. The phone has a 2.1-megapixel wide-angle front-facing camera and the ultrapixel camera sensor that focuses less on delivering big pictures and more on delivering photos that capture more light. It also runs a custom version of Android Jelly Bean with BlinkFeed and Zoe camera features.
The Butterfly S ups the ante with a 1.9 GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 3,200 mAh battery, a microSD slot, and HSPA/WCDMA connectivity. HTC has so far said only that it will launch the Butterfly S in Taiwan next month for NT $22,900 ($766) but no details have been shared about potential launches elsewhere in the world.via: Engadget
