No one would be surprised to hear that Samsung, the world's largest smartphone producer, expects its flagship product to see a strong wave of early sales. However, few would have expected to see so many sales so soon. The Korea Times reports that Samsung Electronics co-CEO Shin Jong-kyun recently said:
"We are confident that we will pass more than 10 million sales of the S4 next week. It is selling much faster than the previous model S3...Samsung spent 50 days to pass the 10 million sales mark for the S3. The S4 will be Samsung's first '10 million seller' device less than a month after its official debut."
Samsung fully expects the Galaxy S 4 to outsell the Galaxy S III. The phone is widely available in more than 60 countries and is likely to be a strong seller throughout the year, despite increased competition from rivals Apple, LG, and HTC. It's unclear if Samsung will include sales of Google's version of the Galaxy S 4 when it becomes available June 26, but the presence of stock Android on its device may lead to a small addition to an already large pot.source: Korea Times
