The LG Optimus G didn't launch with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, but the AT&T version of the phone is upgrading to the newer version of Android. AT&T announced that the Optimus G is updating beginning today. The update can be accessed by connecting to Wi-Fi and going to Settings > General > About phone > Software Update > Update now.
Android 4.1 delivers several new features, including the Isis Mobile Wallet, but a special SIM card in Austin or Salt Lake City is still required in order to use the mobile payment system. All Optimus G users will be able to access faster movement between apps, data usage tracking, Google Now search, and other enhancements. The update should be available to users now.source: AT&T
