Bloomberg Business Week has a lengthy article discussing the rise of Samsung as an electronics company that has rapidly improved its position in the smartphone market. One particular line in the article sticks out because it appears to confirm a Galaxy S 4 Mini is forthcoming.
Sam Grobart's article features the following passage:
"The Galaxy S 4 doesn't come out until late April. It's fast, has a big, bright screen, and will probably be another huge hit for Samsung, as will the S 4 mini that will go on sale soon after."
Samsung has not made any official announcements about the Galaxy S 4 Mini - after all, the Galaxy S 4 was only announced three weeks ago - but purported leaked images of the device emerged last week. Grobart spoke with Samsung representatives and received a tour of its creative headquarters for the story, so the brief aside lends weight to the rumors that a Galaxy S 4 Mini is forthcoming. A smaller version of the Galaxy S III arrives months after the main version was released, but the wait between device releases may be shorter this time around.
According to SamMobile.com, which first leaked the images of the Galaxy S 4 Mini, the smaller S 4 will go on sale in June. The device will have a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD display, 1.6GHz dual-core processor, and Android 4.2.2.source: BusinessWeek, via: 9to5Google
