Motorola isn't wowing its owners, but the company is still working to introduce compelling Android smartphones for consumers. One of those supposed phones has just appeared in a very clear hands-on video.
Vietnamese site Tinhte has posted a video showing the Motorola XT912A, an Android 4.2 Jelly Bean smartphone. This not the fabled X Phone that Motorola is supposedly developing to better compete with the likes of the Apple iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S IV, but it is a solid phone. Confirmed specs include a 4.65-inch display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro or better processor at an unknown clock speed, 2GB of RAM, and a 2,200 mAh processor.
The mystery device doesn't match up with previous rumors about the X Phone, and it definitely lacks the features that will be the game-changing advancement supposedly involved with the phone. The XT912A appears to be just another Motorola Android phone, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The Motorola DROID RAZR M was technically just another Android device, but I was rather pleased by it. Perhaps this phone will also find an audience if and when it is released commercially.
