Twitter yesterday updated its Android and iOS apps, leaving BlackBerry 10 users to wonder when their so-so version of the app would be treated to an upgrade. That question was quickly answered today with a much-needed update to Twitter for BlackBerry 10.0.1.

The new Twitter BlackBerry app introduces a new way to post tweets that include photos, locations, and autocomplete when trying to "@" reply someone. It's also now capable of deleting tweets that have been published, sending or viewing a DM in the Hub, editing a profile, and blocking or reporting others as spam.

Viewing tweets has improved thanks to inline photos appearing of images posted using Twitter's upload feature. BlackBerry users finally gain features standard on other platforms with the inclusion of options to view full conversations, Quote or Retweet, and view a tweet's details page. Perhaps these changes will help raise Twitter's 1-star rating in the BlackBerry App World.
