TweetDeck, the once popular alternative Twitter client that Twitter acquired nearly two years ago, is nearing the end of its mobile life. TweetDeck has confirmed that its Android and iPhone apps will be discontinued in May. The move is necessary to build a better client for the web, the place "where our TweetDeck power-users are going," according to the announcement. Users may experience outages ahead of the shutdown because the app relies on Twitter API 1.0, which is also set to shutdown soon. TweetDeck will be removed from the App Store and Google Play two years after Twitter acquired the company.source: TweetDeck
