YouTube has made strides to become as big a player in streaming to televisions as it is streaming to computers and smartphones. The YouTube Android app has added a new shortcut to aid in that process. Android users have for several months been able to control playback on their PS3, Google TV, and other smart TV setups by using the YouTube Android app. The latest version has added a simple shortcut that can pause, play, go forward, or backward by accessing controls from the notification bar.
