Cloud storage and synchronization service Dropbox today announced a new API that developers can use to make their Android and iOS apps better interact with Dropbox. The new Sync API lets apps treat Dropbox as a local file system, cache files that are synchronized to Dropbox, and work offline. Sync API can empower a note taking app to auto-sync changes to Dropbox, and an app can save recent Dropbox files locally to be edited and then re-uploaded when a connection is available. Developers can get more information at Dropbox.com.
