Though Nokia announced last week that it has begun its rollout of the Windows Phone 7.8 update, T-Mobile USA has confirmed that the Nokia Lumia 710 won't be receiving the update. Lumia Windows Phone 7 smartphones tied to carriers were known to have to wait longer for the Windows Phone 7.8 software, but after receiving complaints and questions about when T-Mobile would update the Nokia Lumia 710, T-Mobile issued the following statement discovered by TmoNews:
"At this time, the Nokia Lumia 710 will not receive the software update. T-Mobile is committed to enhancing customers' experience with our devices, including providing upgrades to the latest operating systems, and T-Mobile aims to deliver software upgrades when it will provide a better experience for our customers. We'll share additional information on upgrades for the Nokia Lumia 710 when they are available."
The only recourse for Nokia Lumia 710 owners who want the update is to download and manually apply the latest version of Windows Phone 7 software.source: Tmonews
