MetroPCS has revised its calling plan options to include fewer categories and stipulations. The fifth-place carrier has adopted three-tiers of plans that provide varying degrees of access to its 4G LTE network.
The new MetroPCS Simplified Plans all offer unlimited talk, text, and data, but have caps based on access to 4G LTE data. The $60 plan provides unmetered and unfettered access to MetroPCS's 4G LTE network; $50 per month nets a customer up to 2.5 GB of 4G data; and $40 per month earns up to 500MB of 4G data. Once a customer with a $40 or $50 plan goes over the allotment, 4G LTE access is cut off for the remainder of the billing cycle and the user continues to have unlimited web browsing at slower 3G speeds. A second line can be added to family plans of any tier for an additional $5 per month.
All MetroPCS Simplified Plans include unlimited talk and text; unlimited Metro411 Directory Assistance; MMS; and joyn, the LTE-based chat and real-time media sharing. An LTE-capable device is required to use the plans, and LTE availability will vary by market.source: MetroPCS
