Verizon began 2012 with hopes of rolling-out its 4G LTE network to 400 markets by the end of 2012. Verizon already surpassed that goal in October, so the nation's largest LTE network will close the year by reaching its 470th market following today's expansion to dozens of additional cities.
Verizon today launch LTE in 30 new markets, and the company's head of corporate communications took the time to boast about how far its fourth-generation network has reached. Tom Pica pointed to RootMetrics' network comparison tests that finds Verizon "outperformed competitors in a large majority of markets tested." Verizon also expanded coverage in dozens of markets where LTE has already launched. Subscribers in the markets listed at the source link below can now put those claims to the test with LTE-capable devices.source: Verizon
