Flipboard for Android has made the jump from the relatively smaller screen of a smartphone to the larger display of tablets. The popular news reading app today release a new version of its app designed specifically for Android tablets with a 7-inch or larger display. Flipboard previously worked on Android tablets, but it merely scaled-up to use the same design featured on smartphones. The latest version of the app includes a new interface that has been designed specifically for tablets. The optimized look takes advantage of the added space by showing more tiles for sections and larger story excerpts.
Fans of the standard phone view of Flipboard can choose to continue using the phone layout on their 7-inch tablet. The "Application Mode" setting provides a choice for tablet or smartphone view, but users with a 10-inch tablet will want to use the larger screen instead. The free app is available for download in Google Play, the Amazon Appstore, and NOOK Apps.source: Flipboard
