Google Maps shot to the top of the iPhone App Store within hours of being released on Friday, and that rapid adoption led to millions of downloads in the hours that followed - more than 10 million to be exact. Google SVP of Commerce & Local Jeff Huber today announced that Google Maps for iOS achieved more than 10 million downloads within the first 48 hours of its release.
