A new camera app designed to improve the quality of videos shot on smartphones and uploaded to YouTube has been released for the Apple iPhone and iPod touch. The new YouTube Capture app immediately begins recording video as soon as it is launched, and it provides helpful reminders to record in landscape in case the user starts recording in portrait mode. The app also provides image stabilization to cut down on the amount of jitteriness that affects video recordings.
YouTube Capture then provides easy editing and sharing options. Recordings can be edited to trim at desired start and stop times, and optional color correction can enhance video quality. Users can then add a caption or music track; choose to share to Google+, Facebook, or Twitter; and then upload to be shared privately, unlisted, or publicly.
YouTube Capture is optimized for the iPhone 5 and is available for devices running iOS 5 or later. Download YouTube Capturevia: YouTube
