Yahoo! Mail has been updated for the web, Apple iPhone, and Android. Yahoo! CEO Marissa Mayer announced that the new mail client is "faster than ever before" and has a consistent look for the web and its mobile clients, which should be the best mobile experience users have had with those products.

The new iPhone app includes automatic notifications for new messages, continuous scroll when browsing the inbox, multi-select to batch edit messages, and swipe gestures to take action for a specific message. The app displays thumbnails for photo attachments and can attach a stored photo or new image using the phone's camera when sending a message.

Yahoo! Mail is optimized for the iPhone 5 and is compatible with several iOS devices, but it requires iOS 6.0 or later. The app is available for free in the App Store. The Android version has also been treated to a redesign and should be auto-updated soon for existing users.
