MetroPCS says that customers enjoyed the Samsung Galaxy Admire, so the company returned to the well and developed a new Samsung Galaxy Admire 4G that follows the same path but provides some key hardware upgrades. The Galaxy Admire 4G improves the processor to make it faster, boosts the battery life to 1,600 mAh, and adds a front-facing camera.
The Samsung Galaxy Admire 4G is an entry-level smartphone that features a 3.65 screen with an HVGA resolution. It has a 1 GHz processor, a 3 megapixel rear camera, and a VGA front-facing camera. The Galaxy Admire 4G has access to the 700,000 apps available in Google Play, but a large portion of those apps will be unavailable because the phone uses Android 2.3 Gingerbread software. It also has the metro App Store and joy, an app MetroPCS uses so its customers can access Wi-Fi calling and instant messaging.
MetroPCS is now selling the Samsung Galaxy Admire 4G online and in stores. The phone costs $169 plus applicable sales tax. The Galaxy Admire 4G supports 4G LTE and can be used with MetroPCS's $55 per month LTE plans, including the Mobile Hotspot service that costs an additional fee each month.source: MetroPCS
