Google released its official Gmail app for Apple iOS a year ago, and the app has since been plagued by bugs, poor performance, and lack of features users desired. Google today announced that it hopes to address all of those issues with Gmail for iOS 2.
The latest Gmail iOS app adds a complete overhaul of the app's design, adding subtle gradients and better slide-out navigation for an improved look. The app also added important functions like the ability to switch between multiple Gmail accounts using the app or get suggested search as the user types. The new version of the app is available for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. It has been optimized for iPhone 5 and requires iOS 5.0 or later.
