Nokia recently advertised a job opening in which it sought a Linux expert to work on "exciting new products," causing many to wonder if Nokia might waver on its Windows Phone-only plan and introduce an Android handset. Wonder no more because Doug Dawson, head of Media Relations at Nokia, has shot down that notion with the following tweet: "Our recently posted job is linked to our HERE Maps support for other platforms, including iOS and Android." Android is based on a Linux kernel, which ignited the original speculation, but Nokia has no plans for an Android device according to public statements.
