AT&T offers multiple phones designed to withstand dust, water, and drops, and the latest such phone - the Samsung Galaxy Rugby III - will add enhanced Push-to-Talk to its feature list when it goes on sale next month. The carrier today announced that it will sell its fifth Rugby device for $99.99 with a two-year agreement beginning December 14, and pre-orders begin November 30 for business customers.
The Samsung Galaxy Rugby III is a rugged device that features a 2.4-inch QVGA display and a 3 megapixel camera. It is designed to military specifications that make it waterproof, dust proof, and shock resistant. The flip phone has Push-to-Talk service and a dedicated PTT button, group talking with supervisory override, and sub-second calls. A $5 per month PTT plan is required when added to a standard calling and data plan, or $30 per month for a PTT-only rate plan.
