Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will arrive soon for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. The upgrade will come Premium Suite, a number of Samsung-specific software changes that will add new features to the device. A key upgrade will be a change to Multi Window that allows users to run multiple apps in a split view that can be adjusted. Windows can be repositioned or resized, so there's more of a desktop feel to the operating system.
AirView, a feature first introduced in the Galaxy Note II, uses the S Pen to trigger previews of content. Hovering over a video thumbnail or S Planner entry displays additional information before opening the media file or entry, and it can also be used to preview the timeline of a video file. The S Pen has also been upgraded to enable better selection tools, more S Note templates, animations, handwriting to text, and formula solving.
Samsung has released a promotional video showcasing the new features in action. Availability for the update will vary by market, but all users can view the video now to know what to expect when Premium Suite arrives for their tablet.
