Xfinity TV Player adds downloadable content from Showtime, Starz, Encore, and MoviePlex

The Xfinity TV Player app has made it possible to view content from select channels even when you aren't near a Wi-Fi connection. The latest version of the app for Android and Apple iOS now enables downloads from Showtime, Starz, Encore, and MoviePlex, so users can save an episode of Dexter or Homeland to watch on the previously Wi-Fi only app. Xfinity TV Player requires a Comcast cable subscription.
