U.S. Cellular today announced a new data plan that will offer subscribers unlimited access to its 4G LTE network available in select markets. The new $40 per month plan ends the monitoring of data usage because customers will be allowed to use as much data as they want when connected to U.S. Cellular's LTE network. The only additional data cost would be an extra $20 per month to be able to use tethering. The carrier expects to have 4G available to 58 percent of its current customers by the end of the year, but faster speeds are already available in Maryland, Missouri, North Carolina, and several other areas.
In a separate promotion, U.S. Cellular is offering a $100 rebate to buyers of the Samsung Galaxy S III and Huawei Ascend Y. Customers who purchase those or any other smartphone on a two year agreement are also eligible to receive a free Samsung SCH-LC11 mobile hotspot. All deals are for a limited time only, including the unlimited data plan offer.source: U.S. Cellular
