AT&T has announced that it will begin selling the Android-powered Samsung Galaxy Camera for $499 beginning November 16. First revealed by Samsung at IFA, the Galaxy Camera is a point-and-shoot camera with a 16 megapixel lens and a 4.8 touchscreen controlling the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software. The camera also includes a SIM slot to connect to AT&T's HSPA+ network for direct uploads of photos and videos. AT&T has announced that customers can purchase the camera and connect to the web using any of the following plans:
- AT&T Mobile Share: $10 to share between 1GB and 20GB
- AT&T DataConnect 250MB: $15 for 250MB
- AT&T DataConnect 3GB: $30 for 3GB
- AT&T DataConnect 5GB: $50 for 5GB
Fora limited time, buyers of any Samsung smartphone at AT&T can receive $100 to use toward the purchase of a second Samsung connected device, including the Galaxy Camera.
